DO YOU LIKE "ROLLER COASTERS"?

DO YOU LIKE "ROLLER COASTERS"?The career of a Realtor can sometimes be described as a "roller coaster". Anticipation of having a client, then working with your client diligently, then don't find the "just right" place.
OR anticipation of having a client, then working diligently with them & HOORAY we find the "just right" place, then financing falls through. OR anticipation of having a client, then working diligently with them, HOORAY find the "just right" place, waiting the 45 days for the paycheck on closing day and all is GREAT!!!

Ups and downs of our industry are mind boggling. Commission based careers are tough. Emotions are high & low. Always have to have your sights on the master for guidance, so that the lows don't do you in or the highs give you the expectation for every day to be the same high! Balance, how do we find that on a Roller Coaster?

My first and only roller coaster ride happened on my 60th birthday. My girls
couldn't believe I was really going to do it! Well, the anticipation was scary, like "is this the right decision" & then buckling in was like 'signing on the final contract' - no getting out! Feelings on that 2 minute excursion were running rapid, just like the days you wait to hear if the seller accepted your offer or someone is going to come see my "for sale" place in time for me to buy the dream place I've watched on the internet. Then when I got off the roller coaster, it was FINISHED. All those emotions done & I didn't know what to think.

We, as Realtors, don't want your selling or buying experience to be like a "Roller Coaster", but does the client ever think about the Realtor that is diligently working for them and the roller coaster the client may have put the Realtor on....

From the report:  “For current homeowners, the decision to buy a new home is typically linked to their decision to sell their current home… Because of this link, the financing costs of the existing mortgage are part of the homeowner’s decision of whether and when to move. Once financing costs for a new mortgage rise above the rate borrowers are paying for their current mortgage, borrowers would have to give up below-market financing to sell their home. Instead, they may c
